In this paper the dimensional synthesis of a spherical four link mechanism that can be used as a solar tracker is presented. With a spherical mechanism it is possible to have a tridimensional movement with one grade of freedom. The dimensional synthesis was based on fi nding the lengths of the components so that the paths required could be traced as close as possible. Diff erent options were analyzed: crank, coupler, rocker and rocker pivot. It was possible to obtain an adjustable coupler for two trajectories within a small error to the application.
