Theoretical aspects related to E-Science, strategic management, and their impact on high-speed regional academic networks

The structure of the present article is basedon the theoretical frameworkof the research project: “Status, Development, and Perspectives of the High Speed Academic Regional Networks (RRAAV)”, registered in the Research Center of Universidad Católica Popular del Risaralda, according to the internal convocation 006 of 2006.
Through this paper, theauthor presentsdifferent theoretical concepts which are the basis for this research development, emphasizing on its interactions, and the way those concepts become a determinative aspect for the success of the project.
