This article reports the procedures and results gotten in the measurement of the break distance for a conventional passengers vehicle and the calculation of the kinetic friction coefficient between the wheels and the floor using the kinematics laws and the Newton laws for the movement. The experiment was made in the mechanical physics subject, in the Universidad Católica Popular del Risaralda.
