Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
Before submitting, please ensure that the following requirements are met. Submissions that do not meet these guidelines may be returned to the authors.
- Articles for publication must be unpublished and exclusive to the journal. The similarity test considers open access repositories for theses and dissertations. Therefore, the manuscript must have a minimum similarity match percentage of 20% (single source).
- The manuscript adheres to all article formatting rules outlined in the editorial policies and guidelines for authors, specifically regarding style, content, and referencing.
- The submission file is in PDF format, and attach the Microsoft Word document in the files section.
- In the application, the corresponding author must attach the following additional information: a letter of originality, author information, project information, and article information in both Word and PDF formats. All formats can be obtained on the journal's website in the author guidelines section. In an article with multiple authors, the contribution of each author must be attributed to the submitted work following the 14 roles of the Contributor Role Taxonomy (CRediT), using the contribution declaration form specified in the author guidelines, which can also be accessed here.
- The use of artificial intelligence (AI)-generated content in an article (including, but not limited to, text, figures, images, and code) must be adequately declared with sufficient detail at the time of submission through the cover letter (Letter of Originality). Furthermore, authors should be transparent about their use of these tools and disclose details of how the AI tool was used. This can be done in the "Materials and Methods" section, in addition to providing details of the AI tool's product in the "Acknowledgments" section.
- The Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is mandatory for all references (journals, conference articles, books).
- The article must include the author's biography at the end, following the format defined in the template. They should be listed after the references, without section titles. It is important to include undergraduate and graduate studies, the research group or center to which they belong, the research topics of interest, and the ORCID. Photographs are current and professional head-and-shoulders images of the authors (please avoid wearing sunglasses and hats).
- Consistent with the article format, a footnote on the first page of the article should state acknowledgment of financial support, as well as the authors' affiliation and email address (only institutional emails are accepted!).
- The DOI information for each reference is mandatory. Relevant references to related previously published works must be included. A thorough bibliographic review is essential for any submission. Inadequate references are grounds for rejection. Review articles must have a minimum of 50 references and must be accompanied by a letter to the editor justifying the relevance of the manuscript and explaining how it differs from other bibliographic reviews.
- The author profile must also include suggestions for three PhD specialists who could serve as reviewers. Please include the information for each reviewer on the profile. Reviewers must speak the language in which the article was written. Furthermore, the participation of experts from the same university as the authors, or their co-authors, in previous publications is discouraged due to potential conflicts of interest.
- Failure to comply with the above submission guidelines will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript.
