Impacto de IoT en la prevención, asistencia, detección y rehabilitación de pacientes con deterioro cognitivo: una revisión
Resumen
En este artículo se presenta una revisión del estado del arte relacionado con el impacto que el desarrollo de dispositivos inteligentes, en el marco del Internet de las Cosas, ha tenido en el diagnóstico y rehabilitación de pacientes con deterioro cognitivo. Se hizo una revisión de artículos, obtenidos de los principales sistemas de bases de datos como IEEEXplore, SCOPUS, Springer Link y NCBI. Fue posible, a partir de esta revisión, reflexionar sobre el envejecimiento de la población adulta a nivel mundial y determinar, que por ende, es necesario crear herramientas, que permitan asistir a estos pacientes en su vida cotidiana. Puede destacarse además la motivación actual por el diagnóstico temprano de patologías como el Alzheimer y la demencia, esto con el fin de llevar a cabo terapias preventivas para evitar un deterioro cognitivo a largo plazo. Se destaca que son muchas las posibilidades para la investigación y el desarrollo de software y dispositivos inteligentes que incorporen los lineamientos de IoT para contribuir con la detección y tratamiento de estos pacientes.
