Abstract

Project Management allows organizations to administrate and optimize its resources to deliver a product in a time period. Therefore a project can be conceived as a system with interrelated processes, integrated for a common objective. Project management, from this point of view, is a discipline that makes these processes and the total system more efficient, effective and harmonic. This article gathers the main tools and techniques used in all the knowledge areas of project management, giving a brief and coherent explanation about each one of them.
