hen an evaluation about national education is done, multiple elements become visible and our historical perplexity view of the problem is reflected. This also makes evident the lack of contextualization of an education that is not specifically adapted for the Colombian needs. This does not deny the fact that a lot of efforts to consolidate a better quality of education have been made for the actors of the process. It is also important to out line that the reflections around this issue have been centred on the achievement of didactics and the teaching of the disciplines and not precisely on the essence of this phenomenon: The comprehension of implications and interrelations that are related to the act of education, not only from the teacher-student perspective but also from them and the context. This document follows some reflections from Professor Edgar Morin and how education, conceived as didactics and teaching of science, does not achieve the transformation of education practices and the metamorphosis of society, because there is no change in the concept of the person and the world he lives in. The article states the importance of a multiple factor education that recognizes not only the dynamics of the discipline’s knowledge, but also the multiple interactions that the human being has with the world and with his personal education and construction process: Autonomous Formation.
