Abstract

During the Second Latin American Congress on the social Doctrine of the Church, some proposals related to the commitment of the church with the construction of the peace and in the scenarios of the Colombian conflict are presented. The MAGISTERIO has created new topics in the social doctrine of the church and likewise new perspectives that suggest creative reflections to the agents of the pastoral and to the believer community, pointing out the ones related to the “ fair war” and the “ fair peace” and to the participation of the communities in the construction of the peace and the reconciliation. In a second moment some reflections derived from five topics presented in the continental summit of peace and reconciliation held in 2005 were presented: the acknowledgment of the armed conflict in Colombia with its specific characteristics, the migrations as a conflict matter, the citizens participation in solving the conflicts, the implications of the environmental problems for the peace and the urgent work of the education for the peace. The document is ended stating the need of company, from the faith and the hope, to the communities in conflict.
