Faith is not alienation; in each age the encounter with the ever new word of the Gospel has been a source of civilization; "With good reason, Italy, celebrating the 150 years of its political unity, can be proud of the presence and action of the Church." the Pope's praise when he addressed, on Thursday afternoon, May 26, to the bishops of the Italian Episcopal Conference.
