History , theories and concepts on wages

Abstract

The present document is the product of the theoretical revision to the research project "Behavior of the minimum wage in Colombia and its impact on the quality of life of the working population in the coffee in the period 1990-2012" inscribed in the center Research of the Catholic University of Pereira. From the perspective of economic doctrines background on the work and wages are raised, then a brief allusion to the consolidation of the capitalist system and around it and its evolution, theories and concepts on wages is done from three perspectives: economic theories, socialist theories and theories of fair wages from the Catholic social teaching.
