Catholicity and Economy: diachronic analysis of its relations, from a critical approach

Abstract

This Article intends to make a first rapprochement between Catholicism with the Economy, through the Social Doctrine of the Church and the main doctrine of the economy or mainstream, from a critical position.

It takes place a short reference to the evolution of classical economics; then contrasts between the doctrines are assumed, through central categories such as economic growth, development, poverty, poverty, inequality, globalization and common good, according to each approach.

Finally, some lines are presented pertaining to how the teaching of these categories in the Economy program of the institution and assumes a partial conclusions of the issue forward.
