Trends of industrial engineering

Abstract

The article shows the trend of industrial engineering, its new fields and tensions between the disciplines that form it, for that reason a research was carried out, initially it was exploratory court which was taking descriptive characteristics as advanced in the process due to it sought specify the properties and characteristics of both the programs and the academic communities or groups that were subjected to analysis. This analysis allows at the end of the research to distinguish that the trends of the discipline are oriented toward the engineer qualification in handling tools such as CRM, CPFR, EDI, ERP, data mining, multivariate analysis, SMED, POKA JOKE, WMS, CIM and philosophies such as JIT, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Management, in addition to a strong focus on environmental, logistics and supply chain.
