The impact of the great depression in the colombian industrial sector during the period 1923-1936

Abstract

The work presented below is intended to judge the impact of the 1929 crisis in the Colombian economy, not only in terms of the collapse of external indicators, but above all, based on the changes experienced during the first decades of the 20th century, showing how the reductions in imports of consumer items produced, not only the extension of the internal market, but also, the growth of modernization and diversification of the industry in this century.
